The members at Mechnicsville Baptist work hard to share the Gospel within our community and beyond! We sponsor missionaries and volunteer groups, we spread joy through music ministries, and we give back through time and resources all throughout the year.
Our Worship Team rehearses and shares music each Sunday morning for our 8:30 am Contemporary Service in the Family Life Center. Together, they lead our services with familiar contemporary music as we praise God.
The Ladies’ Ensemble is a group of talented women who have brought their gifts of singing together for many years. Beginning in 2021, they began Front Porch Singin’ to bring music to those who were shut-in or in need of a loving touch.
The Sounds of the Spirit Handbells meet each month to rehearse and share their talents in our worship services throughout the year.
Music is a big part of MBC. Throughout the years groups and individuals have changed but together we have given of our talents and abilities as we joined together to serve the Lord and bring worship to our church family.
The Keenage Club, formed in 1978, provides opportunities for our senior members to meet and fellowship together. They regularly take day trips to city and state attractions. Occasionally the group travels overnight to venues out of Virginia.
Every year, we have special groups of volunteers that participate in fund raising, food pantries, and other forms of giving back to others.
We host events such as dinners, Vacation Bible School, Fall Festivals, and more; all of these events need volunteers to make them a success.
Missions have been an important part of Mechanicsville Baptist Church since its beginning. We seek to meet the needs of others locally through our relationship with MCEF.
Statewide we send mission teams to Southwest Virginia to be a part of the Southwest Partnership in Nickelsville and support Disaster Response efforts through the Virginia Baptist Mission Board.
In the United States we partner with missionaries in New York and in Greenacres, Florida to assist them with meeting the needs of their communities.
Globally we financially and spiritually support missionaries in Africa, Southeast Asia, and India through gifts given through the International Mission Board.
